Paris is suddenly filled with Asian restaurants of all types, representing a diversity in population but also trending tastes toward Korean and Japanese fare. Happily, many if these restaurants go far beyond the old-fashioned great spoon and now are blending local tastes, traditional local dishes, and savoir-faire.
One example in the neighborhood is Crying Tiger, a modern Thai bistro where you can get traditional Thai specialties, French wine, and higher prices.
The food here is good and clean. I particularly enjoyed the chicken satay with its peanut sauce and small mint and cilantro salad. Others enjoyed the curries which seem to be their specialty. The fish-allergic should be aware that all curries are made with fish sauce.
