Rue de Montparnasse for crepes!

french galette

If you like crêpes and the Breton specialty, buckwheat galettes, there are two streets right off the Boulevard Montparnasse with at least ten crêperie, kind of like a mini Brittany-town. Go to Rue Odessa and rue du Montparnasse.

The crepes and galettes here are authentic, with some original variations. Don’t forget to order a “bolée de cidre” (bowl of cider) and a dessert crêpe with chocolate and whipped cream.

For even closer creperies, consider Crêperie des Canettes on the rue des Canettes, as well as the more chic Breizh Café (Odéon) of the upscale chain of the same name.
